Job summary

National Vehicle Distribution in Ireland seeks a qualified mechanic to perform and diagnose complex mechanical repairs, including disassembly and reassembly, to meet manufacturer and safety standards. You will apply lean principles to improve repair efficiency and strictly follow SOPs, with ADAS calibration and 4-wheel alignment as required.

The role requires strong hands-on skills, experience with diagnostic tools, and the ability to work in a team while maintaining high workmanship.

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanic with relevant automotive repair experience.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
• Familiar with lean methodologies and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out complex mechanical tasks including stripping and rebuilding for repair to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults with precision and quality workmanship.
• Apply lean techniques to improve efficiency of repair processes.
• Perform ADAS calibration and 4-wheel alignment as required.
• Ensure all repairs comply with vehicle manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
