Position:Automation Technician. Location: Dublin, Ireland.PACIV, a global leader in industrial automation solutions with offices in Ireland, the United States and Puerto Rico, and serving the Life Science, F&B and Utilities industries, is looking for an experienced Automation Technician. This is a site-based role.Role DescriptionResponsible for planning, scheduling and execution of projects, and communicating project status to targeted timelines. Also responsible for developing new technology and supporting existing technology to improve production, quality, safety and profitability. Also manage/assist in facility expansion and modifications.Role FunctionsFunctions include, but are not limited to, the following:- Develop, execute and document project assignments in compliance with committed timelines and project goals, and per established governance policies and procedures.
- Support development of new technology, existing technology and existing production lines to improve quality, profitability and safety.
- Develop and maintain required project management and validation documents.
- Conduct or participate in routine project reviews with Project Teams and Management.
- Perform design work, layouts, sketches and concepts as required for projects and/or plant layouts.
- Develop and/or review engineering change requests for modifications to processes, equipment and facilities.
- Ensure technical and customer requirements for assigned projects are achieved.
- Troubleshoot and repair of all automation. Automation includes assembly machines/fixtures, label applicators, robots, end of arms, separators and test equipment. Any other equipment assigned by management.
- Evaluate and maintain proper machine safety to ensure employees are protected when operating any piece of automation.
- Ensure automation lines are meeting their targeted output and OEE by analysing production data.
- Maintain quality finished product through proper maintenance and operation of all automation.
- Provide timely notification to shift leaders and program managers of maintenance and down time issues.
- Interface daily with engineering manager and shift support personnel.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Exhibit regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.
Role Requirements- Bachelor's Degree or Certificate in a relevant Engineering subject.
- 3+ years’ experience working as an automation technician and in supporting technical project management.
- 3+ years’ experience in the medical device or similar regulated industry.
- Participate in a shift schedule.
- Travel up to 5% of time.
- Applicants must have a valid EU Work Permit and Irish Residency
