Job summary

SimoTech is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our client’s Digital & Automation Team. You will be responsible for supporting run-state operations, lifecycle maintenance, and continuous improvement across multiple manufacturing suites.

Demanding a hands-on, collaborative approach, the role emphasizes regulatory compliance, change control, and rapid recovery from incidents to maintain production continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation or related field.
• Experience in GMP-regulated environments is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Hands-on experience with PLC/SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support for production-critical automation and digital systems.
• Maintain automation and digital systems in a validated, compliant state in line with GMP and change-control processes.
• Investigate deviations and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support new equipment introduction and transition from project delivery to sustained operations.
• Assist with change control, documentation, and audits.
• Respond to automation incidents and restore system availability to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Automation teams on system enhancements.
