Job summary

JDA WMS PTE. LTD. in Dublin, Ireland seeks an experienced automation and fabrication technician to join the manufacturing operations team.

You will perform hands-on machine assembly, installation, commissioning, and maintenance across production lines. You will troubleshoot automation, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues, read mechanical drawings, and support testing, calibration, and validation of systems.

Qualifications

• Formal degree in a relevant engineering field is required or preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with automation, fabrication and production processes.
• Certifications in PLC, automation or maintenance are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support automation, fabrication, and production activities in manufacturing operations.
• Perform hands-on machine assembly, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Support fabrication activities including machine modification and setup.
• Troubleshoot automation, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth machine operation and continuity.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to optimize equipment reliability.
• Support process improvement and automation enhancement projects.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specs, and electrical schematics for setup.
• Support testing, calibration, and validation of automation systems and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support automation, fabrication, and production-related activities within manufacturing operations
• Perform hands-on machine assembly, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance works
• Support fabrication activities including machine modification, mechanical fitting, and production equipment setup
• Troubleshoot automation, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth machine operation and production continuity
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to optimize equipment reliability and performance
• Assist in process improvement and automation enhancement projects to increase productivity and reduce operational issues
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and electrical schematics for machine setup and troubleshooting
• Support testing, calibration, and validation of automation systems and production equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, operational standards, and production requirements

Educational Background

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline
• Strong hands-on technical knowledge in automation systems, fabrication, machine assembly, and production processes
• Additional certifications or training in PLC, automation systems, industrial maintenance, or fabrication are an added advantage
