Job summary

CREGG is seeking an experienced Automation Front Line Support Engineer for a GMP facility in South Co Dublin, Ireland. The role covers front-line support and patching, servicing 24/7 shift patterns, with emphasis on delivering quality service in a regulated environment.

The client operates an aseptic drug product facility focused on secondary manufacturing activities, with capabilities in Formulation, Vial/Syringe Filling, Lyophilisation and Packaging, and a strong continuous improvement culture

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with automated control systems in Life Sciences/Pharma.
• Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Systems Engineering or Computer Science.
• Proven PLC/SCADA/Batch expertise with listed technologies.
• Knowledge of GAMP, ANSI/ISA-S88/S95, and 21 CFR Part 11.
• Experience managing automation projects or multiple projects.
• Strong independent, self-motivated, and organized work style.
• Experience leading teams of senior automation engineers.
• PMI or PRINCE2 is a plus.

Job description

An experienced Automation Front Line Support Engineer is required for a company in South Co Dublin, Ireland, on a permanent or contractual basis. This is a 24/7 shift pattern; the Candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a regulated environment

Our client has an aseptic drug product facility, specializing in secondary manufacturing activities Formulation, Vial/Syringe Filling, Lyophilisation, and Packaging.

This company is developing the capability to produce all its medicines in Dun Laoghaire, South Dublin, helping to ensure continuity of supply of medicines as they expand internationally.

The Front Line Support Manager has the responsibility for managing the front line support and patching teams onsite and ensuring consistent delivery of quality service.

As a contract, the position offers excellent rates and the opportunity for a long-term placement

Skills and Education:

• Third level qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or Equivalent
• 5+ years' experience working with automated control systems, preferably in the Life Sciences/ Pharma sector
• PLC/SCADA/Batch experience with a preference for the following technologies: Rockwell FactoryTalk SE View & Batch, Siemens PLC/HMI, iFix, Wonderware, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, and OSIsoft PI Data Historian.
• Knowledge of GAMP software development lifecycle, ANSI/ISA-S88 and S95 industry standards, and 21 CFR Part 11
• Experience in project managing automation projects and/or a portfolio of multiple projects simultaneously
• Independent, self-motivated, and organized.
• Experience managing teams of senior automation engineers
• Recognized project management qualification such as PMI or PRINCE2 is a plus
