Summary of the Role:
Autocad Technician
Creative Engineering Ltd is looking to hire a full time CAD Technician in an Engineering environment. Job location is in Cork, Ireland.
This role supports manufacturing operations in the areas of process development, manufacturing layout, continuous improvement and other duties associated with engineering support of production.
Supports the needs of manufacturing areas in terms of meeting the requirements for quality standards and compliant documentation.
Problem solving and report or presentation preparation.
- Good English speaker with good communication skills.
- Can work on their own, and within a team.
- Can take direction from their manager, and drive their tasks to completion.
- European citizen or have an existing VISA to work in Ireland.
Duties and Responsibilities (non-exhaustive list):
- Develop and maintain a Credo & Behavioural Standards based culture within the Projects Engineering group.
- Adhere to all on site Health and Safety requirement. Embedding culture of safety in day to day activities.
- Maintain product and process Quality elements daily. Embed Quality policy and culture into day to day activities.
- Support day to day manufacturing operation activities to allow site to meet its targets as required.
- Develop, maintain, and adhere to project schedules for effective project implementation
- Identify and support technical improvements under the department’s continuous improvement program.
- Actively participate in cross-functional teams to ensure New Product Introduction/Research and Development projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Actively interfacing with cross-functional team members, always practicing good teamwork in support of day to day operating requirements.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and a clear identifiable work ethos within the Projects Engineering team.
Organization Interfaces:Engineering, Operations, QA & Validation, Maintenance, Facilities.
Qualifications
Qualified CAD technician or have completed a college course which leaned heavily on Autocad skills.
Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing and/or engineering is preferred. Previous experience working in a regulated industry such as Medical Device is preferred. Experience with Lidar scanning equipment, point cloud generation, and 3D modelling preferred. Having experience with the Windchill package is an advantage.
Abilities
- Regular Autocad user.
- Strong computer skills, such as the use of Microsoft Office, Minitab, and other databases
- Excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentation).
- Ability to manage multiple assignments or projects with sound analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
