Job summary

Autism A Chara Disability Services in Dublin is seeking a Social Care Worker to support individuals with autism within a community-based setting. The role requires a QQI Level 7 Social Care qualification or equivalent degree, and CORU registration or active application.

Applicants should have at least 6 months of recent experience with complex needs, strong English and communication skills, and a valid driver’s license to operate service vehicles.

Qualifications

• Full QQI Level 7 Social Care or degree in Applied Social Care required.
• At least 6 months recent experience with complex needs.
• Proof of CORU registration or in-progress CORU application.
• Knowledge of current Social Care legislation and rights of autistic individuals.
• Ability to work on own initiative and develop PCPs/care plans.
• Experience delivering person-centered care plans.

Responsibilities

• Deliver support according to PCP and care plan.
• Develop and implement PCPs and care plans.
• Ensure the needs of the person are central in all activities.
• Provide information and advocacy to individuals with autism.
