Qualifications

• Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in an appropriate or relevant field.
• Hold a full manual driving license which qualifies you to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish roads.
• Demonstrate experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disability and complex needs.
• Have knowledge of person centred planning and knowledge of person directed and individualised support approaches.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Care Assistants provide a key-working caring role for a group of People Supported by the Services.
• This role involves personal care, meals, personal hygiene and related aspects of physical well-being.
• Support People Supported by the Services in development on Individual Plans and associated outcomes.
• Support People Supported by the Services in community participation and integration.
• Two individuals in their own individualised apartments: support independence, choice and life skills.
• Promote independence, choice and life skills; support daily routines and community engagement with meaningful activities.
• Deliver structured, person centred care in line with assessed needs and care planning processes.
• Maintain a calm, predictable and supportive environment.
