g2 Recruitment is seeking an Authorised Person (Mechanical Bias) for a major 110MW power infrastructure project in Dublin, Ireland. The role focuses on safe management, commissioning and readiness of mechanical and cooling systems as the project advances through commissioning and handover, onsite for a 12+ month engagement.

The designated AP will manage permits, LOTO, isolations and safe systems of work, coordinating with contractors and operations teams to ensure timely handover and compliance

Qualifikationen

• Experience as Authorised Person or similar role on critical infra projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical isolations and permit-to-work.
• Experience with cooling systems, chilled water networks, HVAC.
• Background in data centres or utility environments.
• Experience supporting commissioning and start-up.

We are currently supporting a leading commissioning and engineering contractor in the appointment of an experienced Authorised Person (Mechanical Bias) for a major 110MW power and utilities infrastructure project supporting hyperscale data centre operations in Dublin, Ireland.

This is a key role focused on the safe management, commissioning and operational readiness of critical mechanical and cooling infrastructure as the project progresses through commissioning and system handover phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the designated Authorised Person for mechanical systems, managing permits, isolations, LOTO procedures and safe systems of work.
• Support the testing, commissioning and handover of critical cooling and utilities infrastructure.
• Oversee flushing, pressure testing, system proving and mechanical pre-commissioning activities.
• Coordinate contractors, commissioning teams and operations personnel throughout commissioning and start-up phases.
• Review RAMS, commissioning documentation and mechanical safety procedures to ensure compliance with project standards.
• Support the transition of mechanical systems from construction through to live operation.
• Previous experience in an Authorised Person, Mechanical AP, MANP, Mechanical Operations Engineer, Utilities Engineer, Energy Centre Engineer or similar position.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical isolations, permit-to-work systems and LOTO procedures.
• Experience with cooling systems, chilled water networks, HVAC plant, pumps, heat exchangers and associated pipework.
• Background within data centres, power generation, utilities, energy centres, industrial, pharmaceutical, process plant or other critical environments.
• Experience supporting commissioning, pre-commissioning, start-up or operational readiness activities.
• Experience working within live operational or FM environments.
• Knowledge of pressure systems, water treatment and integrated systems testing (IST).
• Experience supporting major utility, power or critical infrastructure projects.
