BDO Ireland are looking for an ambitious, high-achieving Manager seeking a new challenge in a progressive and forward-thinking Audit Department. You will be a key player in our business transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients of variable sizes across different industries.
  • Proactively manage client expectations and be point-of-contact for clients. Working closely with Financial Controller/Director or Senior Executive levels in managing the audit specific requirements.
  • Manage international reporting process both to Group Auditors and from Component Auditors
  • Proactively manage client expectations and be point-of-contact for clients
  • Coordinate and project manage the allocation of staff resources to jobs
  • Lead teams on the planning; execution; and completion of audits
  • Provide technical auditing and accounting assistance to team members and clients
  • Report directly to senior manager/director on engagements
  • Assist with managing the team’s financial performance e.g. agreeing and billing of fees; cash collections; monitoring recoverability of WIP etc
  • Participate in the coaching, mentoring and appraisal of staff
  • Manage and coordinate the pitch/proposals for new work
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • ACA or ACCA with minimum 3 years PQE
  • Can demonstrate strong technical auditing and accounting skills, including knowledge of the ISAs and accounting standards FRS100 to FRS102 and IFRS
  • Proven management skills and behaviours
  • A strong market/commercial awareness
  • Understands the operational aspects of managing an audit team and be accountable for results
  • Strong communication skills and client service ethos.
  • Adaptable to change.
