Job summary

Stantec is seeking a visionary Structural Associate to steer our growing structures team across Ireland. This role offers more than management; it shapes technical direction, mentors engineers, and delivers landmark infrastructure projects.

You will be Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) with a Level 8+ degree and deep structural knowledge, combined with commercial acumen to grow the team and secure opportunities. Hybrid working is available from Dublin, Galway, Cork, or Castlebar.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer with Level 8+ degree and deep technical experience in structural engineering.
• Strong commercial acumen and leadership presence to manage and coach a growing team.
• Experience in consultancy and familiarity with the Water sector is advantageous.

• Strategic Leadership: Taking full ownership of the division’s operational performance and reporting to executive leadership.
• Team Empowerment: Mentoring, recruiting and developing a high-performing team of engineers and technicians.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Acting as the bridge between structural engineering and other disciplines to ensure seamless delivery on complex infrastructure projects.
• Business Growth: Strengthening client relationships and leading tenders to secure future pipeline.

We are currently seeking a visionary Structural Associate to steer our growing structures team. This is more than a management role; it is a chance to shape the technical direction of the firm, mentor the next generation of engineers, and deliver landmark projects across the country.

As the Structural Asociate, you will be the driving force behind our commercial and technical success. You won’t just manage projects; you will build a legacy. Your focus will be on:

ABOUT YOU

You will be a Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) with a Level 8 or higher degree and deep technical experience in structural engineering. Beyond your technical mastery, you possess the commercial acumen and leadership presence necessary to manage and coach a high-performing, growing team.

You are a natural communicator who thrives under pressure, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects to the highest standards of client satisfaction. As a seasoned professional, you bring a sophisticated blend of interpersonal skills and technical authority, ensuring that every deadline is met with precision and excellence.

You will ideally have experience with another Consultancy and experience in the Water sector would be advantageous.
