Job summary

JPMorganChase is launching a new Technology Line of Business in Dublin. As a Software Engineer III in Infrastructure Platforms, you will design, build, and operate enterprise-scale platforms, writing production code and solving complex problems with a focus on reliability, performance, security, and cost.

Qualifications

• Production code in an industry-standard language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C++, Rust).
• Working knowledge of Linux/UNIX-like OS and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with at least one infrastructure domain (cloud, networking, compute, storage, security, or data infra).
• Experience with infrastructure-level tooling (Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, databases).
• Developing systems thinking and understanding interfaces, contracts, and failure modes.
• Fluency using AI tools for engineering with good judgment on AI applicability.
• Security-first mindset when writing and shipping code.
• Clear, direct communication with teammates and stakeholders.
• Outcome orientation focusing on reliability and cost.
• Comfort working in greenfield contexts and handling ambiguity with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate features within enterprise-scale infrastructure platforms across the SDLC.
• Write and review production code, balancing reliability, performance, security, and cost.
• Diagnose and resolve production problems with senior engineers.
• Work AI-native across the SDLC, including AI-assisted development and incident triage.
• Share an on-call rotation and improve operability and observability.
• Analyze and improve code and systems for quality, scalability, and efficiency.
• Decompose problems into executable work for yourself and AI agents.
• Define success criteria and measure impact of your work.
• Collaborate with teammates and stakeholders and raise risks proactively.
• Apply security and operational-risk judgment in engineering work.
