APPLICATION DEVELOPER ASSOCIATE

Location: Tralee (Hybrid)

Role Overview:

The Application Developer Associate will work closely with experienced team members to build real-world skills in SQL, cloud-based tools, and data architecture. The role offers a supportive environment for learning and professional growth.

You will report to the Executive Director of Corporate Banking Application Development.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in designing, building and maintaining data-driven applications and transformation workflows.

· Write SQL queries to support data extraction, reporting and analysis.

· Support application and data modeling efforts under the guidance of senior developers.

· Integrate data from various sources using cloud-based tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Blob Storage).

· Collaborate with analysts and engineers to understand business requirements and deliver effective application solutions.

· Participate in Agile ceremonies and team meetings to stay aligned with project goals.

· Learn and apply programming concepts, including object-oriented programming and Node.js, to support application logic and automation.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering or a related field.

· Basic proficiency in SQL and familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).

· Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure) and application development tools.

· Interest in application architecture, cloud technologies, and scalable systems.

· Willingness to learn object-oriented programming and software development principles.

· Strong attention to detail with a collaborative and self-motivated mindset.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to prioritize tasks, work in a team environment and take initiative when needed.
