Job summary

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Raheen, Limerick, is seeking a Facilities Engineer to provide engineering support, troubleshooting, and subject-matter expertise to the Facilities Operations, Utilities and HVAC teams.

You will build and specify cGMP utilities, HVAC equipment, piping, ducting and controls; manage small-to-mid sized projects; assist in design reviews, site acceptance and installation; and support QA validation through design documents and protocol execution.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience preferred in Pharma/Biotech.
  • 2+ years for Engineer level; 5+ years for Senior Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Building and specifying cGMP clean/grey utilities, & HVAC equipment, piping, ducting and/or controls.

  • Troubleshooting for complex plant equipment issues and recommending corrective actions.
  • Assisting in design review, site acceptance and installation of equipment.
  • Supporting QA Validation with design documents and protocol execution.
  • Investigations of utility systems and control system anomalies; safety incidents.
  • Implementing corrective/preventative actions for existing equipment and maintenance processes.
  • Preparing engineering evaluations and test plans for modification/change control.
  • Interpreting P&IDs, layouts, wiring diagrams; planning maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by enforcing procedures.

As a Facilities Engineer, you will provide engineering support, troubleshooting, & subject matter expertise to the Facilities Operations, Utilities & HVAC teams.

Where:

  • Location: Raheen, Limerick


What you’ll do:

  • Building and specifying cGMP clean/grey utilities, & HVAC equipment, piping, ducting and/or controls

  • Managing small-to-mid sized projects related to utilities & HVAC equipment & services

  • Conducting troubleshooting for complex issues with plant equipment issues and associated systems, identifying and recommending corrective actions

  • Assisting in the design review, site acceptance and installation of equipment

  • Supporting the QA Validation department by preparation of design documents and assists in protocol execution

  • Assisting in investigations of utility systems, and control system anomalies as well as safety incidents

  • Implementing corrective/preventative actions for existing equipment and maintenance processes

  • Preparing engineering evaluations and test plans for and executing modification change control documentation

  • Interpreting P&IDs, equipment/system layouts, wiring diagrams and specifications in planning and performing maintenance and repairs

  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by enforcing procedures, policies, and regulations

  • To be considered for this position you should have a BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with 5 years of relevant experience preferably in the Pharma/Biotech industry.

  • Senior Engineer: BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years' minimum experience

  • Engineer: BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years' minimum experience
