A community service organization in Mullingar is seeking Assistant Support Workers for a developmental opportunity. No experience is necessary as accredited training will be provided. Successful applicants will assist staff in delivering quality services to residents at Teach Failte Women's and Children's Hostel, participating in a QQI Major Award program. Garda vetting is required. This role offers 19.5 hours of practical work experience per week.

Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

The programme will give successful applicants the opportunity for practical work experience of 19.5 hours per week within Teach Failte, Women's and Children's Hostel, Mullingar in conjunction with studying towards a QQI Major Award in their chosen career. The work experience and training will enable applicants to secure future employment opportunities within the various sector. All training costs are funded 100% through the programme. To respond appropriately to clients needs and enable them to move on successfully. To assist in maintaining a sufficiently high standard of hygiene within the setting. Support residents in carrying out daily chores and assist staff in implementing support plans or specific programs of support for those availing of the service. The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential for this position.
