Skechers Ireland in Kilkenny is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager and lead a dynamic retail team. Located on Henry Street, this role combines people leadership with hands-on store operations and a strong emphasis on customer service.

You will mentor staff, oversee daily activities, contribute to merchandising and recruitment, and help achieve sales targets while ensuring inventory accuracy and safety compliance.

Formación

• Prior experience at supervisor or assistant manager level.

Responsabilidades

• Assist store manager with daily store operations.
• Mentor and supervise store employees as directed by the Store Manager.
• Act in store manager's absence.
• Support merchandising, customer service and HR tasks.
• Report daily operations and assist with recruitment and sales strategies.
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Keep the store visually appealing and resolve customer issues.
• Support clients and troubleshoot as needed.
• Own and contribute to store sales targets.
• Handle additional tasks as directed by management.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the store manager in overseeing all daily activities
• Mentoring and overseeing store employees as directed by the Store Manager
• Assuming full responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Store Manager
• Collaborating on daily operations, including merchandising, customer service, and human resources
• Reporting on daily operations and assisting in the creation of recruitment and sales strategies
• Maintaining optimal shop inventory levels and ensuring compliance with health and safety laws
• Keeping the store aesthetically pleasant and addressing customer issues efficiently
• Supporting clients and troubleshooting as needed
• Owning and contributing to store sales targets
• Additional tasks as directed by upper management

Requirements

• Prior experience at Supervisor/Assistant Manager level
• Leadership and team education skills
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule
• Exceptional interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform various work floor activities, including reaching aloft, bending, squatting, kneeling, and carrying goods
