Role Overview:

The Spa Assistant Manager will support the Spa and Health Club Manager in the day-to-day operations of the spa, ensuring the highest standards of service, team leadership, and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on role that combines supervisory responsibilities with active treatment delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate the spa team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Support the Spa and Health Club Manager in managing budgets, stock control, and daily operations.
  • Maintain high standards of customer care and professionalism at all times.
  • Assist in staff training, scheduling, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the wider hotel and spa team to promote cross-departmental synergy.
  • Drive retail and treatment sales, meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports using spa software systems.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of spa services, standards, and guest experience through innovation, feedback, and team development.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A qualified and experienced therapist, with previous supervisory experience in a 4-star spa environment.
  • Proficient in massage, facials, and nail treatments.
  • Ideally familiar with VOYA and Yonka product ranges (though this is not essential).
  • Knowledgeable in HotSoft and Phorest systems (preferred but not required).
  • Able to demonstrate proven sales and retail performance, which is a key requirement.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Passionate about wellness and delivering outstanding guest service.
