Location: Lucena Clinic, Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services

Initial Base: Wicklow Town, Co. Wicklow

Lucena Clinic provides a comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for young people with moderate to severe mental health disorders to defined catchment areas, with an under 18 population of 172,585, residing in South Dublin City and County plus North and West County Wicklow. Clinical Teams are based throughout the catchment area operating clinics in Tallaght, Rathgar, Dun Laoghaire, Bray, Wicklow town and Arklow.

Assistant Psychologist - Lucena CAMHS Wicklow

(Fixed term 12 months, full time)

SJOG Community Mental Health, Lucena CAMHS, Wicklow Town

Lucena CAMHS provides a comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service to defined catchment areas residing in South Dublin City and County plus North and West County Wicklow . An opportunity has arisen for an assistant psychologist to join an established, experienced, consultant led multidisciplinary team as part of a waiting list initiative . The successful candidate will also be part of a highly skilled and active psychology department.

Role Summary & Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate will be flexible, committed and possess:

A recognised qualification in Psychology and meet the PSI guidelines for employment as am assistant psychologist in the Irish Health Service.

Experience of working in clinical settings.

Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.

An ability to manage workload, perform under pressure and achieve deadlines.

An ability to undertake and complete projects in relation to innovation and improvement in service delivery.

A high capacity for responsibility, together with excellent organisational, interpersonal, time management and communication skills with an ability to supervise and prioritise the workload of supervisees.

A full clean driving license and access to car

Remuneration

Salary Grade 6521 PSYCHOLOGY ASSISTANT on the Consolidated HSE Pay Scale

Initial location

The initial location of this role is in Lucena CAMHS Wickow. However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CAMHS other places of business or/and the premises of such associated companies or organisations as SJOG CAMHS may require. You will be given as much notice of any such change of place of work as is reasonably practicable.
