Company Details Confidential, Mount Merrion, Co. Dublin, is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join a multidisciplinary team in a North/South Dublin clinic.

The role is full-time with a hybrid working model and requires PSI eligibility and at least two years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will conduct diagnostic assessments across children and adults, work with families and schools, and train others in key assessments such as WISC-V and Vineland.

Qualifications

  • Eligible for membership with the Psychological Society of Ireland and at least two years of relevant working experience in a clinical environment.
  • Proficiency with assessment tools including WISC-V, TEA-Ch, TEA, DKEFS, Stanford Binet 5th Edition, WIAT-III UK, CTOPP-2 and Vineland.
  • Ability to train others in these assessments; experience with parent/teacher interviews and school observations is essential.
  • Strong clinical formulation skills, cross-cultural psychology understanding, and excellent psychological report writing.
  • Full, clean Irish driver’s licence and capability to commute to North and South Dublin clinics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic assessments to children and adults within a MDT framework.
  • Work with families, schools and adults; engage in school observations.
  • Train colleagues in administration and scoring of assessments.
  • Manage administrative tasks: bookings, team emails, billing, interpreters and intake forms.
  • Prepare and send out reports; handle psychometric data with care; participate in supervision and CPD.

Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join our expanding MDT team of OT, SLT and Psychologists in our North/South Dublin clinic. The position is a full time contract and is a hybrid working model.Applicants must be eligible for membership with the Psychological Society of Ireland and have a minimum two years of relevant working experience in a similar clinical environment.The role involves providing diagnostic assessment to children and adults as well as working with families, schools and adults. Proficiency in the following assessment tools are a requirement: WISC-V, TEA-Ch, TEA, DKEFS, Stanford Binet Fifth Edition, WIAT-III UK, CTOPP-2, and Vineland. The ability to train others in these assessments is also desirable. Experience with parent and teacher interviews as well as on-site school observations is essential. Proven experience in researching, developing, and facilitating multidisciplinary play groups is desirable.Skills in handling and scoring psychometric data is desirable. An understanding of clinical formulations (eg., The Five Ps), clinical reflexivity, and cross-cultural psychology is crucial. Fluency in a second language is a plus. Strong psychological report writing skills are essential.The ability to commute to both North and South clinics as well as on-site school observations is required; applicants should have a full, clean Irish driver’s licence.You will also be required to give administrative support including making bookings, helping to manage the administrative team’s emails, billing, organising interpreters, filing intake forms, and sending out reports. A working knowledge and comfort with using CRM software, in particular Phorest, is necessary. Additionally, a detailed understanding of the HSE assessment of needs (AON) process is essential.Weekly supervision with a senior psychologist is provided, alongside peer supervision. Engagement in continual CPD is required. Insight provides on-going CPD as well as a yearly CPD budget. Garda vetting and TUSLA HSE Children First Certificate training is required. Additional certifications in other areas of psychology are a plus (eg., training in therapeutic modalities, knowledge of the Zones of Regulation, The Alert Program for Self-Regulation, and The Social Thinking Framework).Psychology qualifications required. (Master’s in psychology. If overseas qualifications, a certificate of equivalence from the Psychological society of Ireland is required)
