Job summary

Life Style Sports in Dublin is seeking an energetic Assistant Merchandiser to support the Senior Merchandiser in forecasting sales and assigning OTB for your areas. You will manage stock intake, liaise with Brand partners and the warehouse, and ensure data integrity.

You will bring strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver accurate reporting, optimise stock, and drive commercial outcomes for the brand and our customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years experience in fashion or sports retail omni-channel environment.
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems (D365, SAP or Oracle) and BI tools (Tableau/Business Objects).

Role Summary:

The role of Life Style Sports Assistant Merchandiser is an excellent opportunity for an energetic individual to join a focused team in a fast paced and rewarding environment.

As the Assistant Merchandiser, you will be providing support to your Senior Merchandiser in the forecasting of sales and assigning of OTB for your areas. Other key responsibilities for the Assistant Merchandiser are managing intake of stock into the business, liaising with our Brand partners and our warehouse, ensuring data integrity, performing analysis, and recommending actions.

You will have an eye for detail and bring new ideas to the buying and merchandising process.

Role Responsibilities:

• Planning & Forecasting:
• Working with your Senior Merchandiser to support in forecasting Sales & Margin for your areas
• Recommending future Seasons OTB based on sales forecasts
• Monitoring ongoing stock position and proposing corrections

Stock Management:

• Managing intake for your category:
• Updating availability from brands for weekly call offs into the business
• Tracking deliveries once stock is on its way into the business
• Working with our Brand Partners such as Nike, Adidas, Under Armour and Asics to ensure that our Order Books are aligned
• Liaising with the warehouse daily:
• Following up on delivery queries and resolving any issues
• Managing weekly communication documents between Brand Centre (HQ) and the Warehouse
• Overseeing ordering of Continuity lines for your areas
• Analysing and reporting on key trends

Data Integrity, Reporting & Analysis:

• Working with suppliers to ensure product details are correct 3 barcodes, customs information etc.
• Sense checking all lines have the correct information 3 pricing, labelling, margins, etc. and communicating any changes to the Buying team
• Production and review of business documentation, reports, and presentations
• Reviewing sales data and recommending appropriate actions
• Analysis of product size ratios to maximise future buys
• Resolving Invoicing queries with the Finance Dept
• Working on future IT integrations

Key Requirements:

• A minimum of 1-2 years020experience in a Fashion or Sports Retail Omni-Channel Environment
• Proficient in the use of excel
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., D365, SAP, Oracle) BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Business Objects) and Microsoft Office
• Strong numeric, data/analytical, and organisational skills
