Job summary

Modern Tyres Ireland (Retail) Ltd in Limerick is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Branch Manager in delivering service, sales and quality targets in a customer-focused environment. You will lead the team, perform tyre-related duties on the shop floor and ensure smooth operation with adherence to policies.

The ideal candidate has leadership experience in a motor industry setting, mechanical knowledge, and is proficient with computers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.
• Must have Mechanical knowledge.
• Must have leadership experience.
• Full Clean Driving Licence essential.
• Must have some experience in using and navigating computers.
• Good Technical ability.

Responsibilities

• Assist the manager in organizing, planning and implementing strategy.
• Coordinate operations of the Branch.
• Carry out mechanical/tyre fitting duties on the workshop floor.
• Ensure schedules and objectives are met.
• Monitor operating costs, budgets and resources.
• Communicate with clients and evaluate their needs and specifications.
• Secure adherence to company policies and guidelines.
• Ensure all administrative work is conducted timely.
• Record relevant details on in-house systems.
• Support Branch Manager as requested (audits).

Job Title: Assistant Manager

Reports to: Manager

Job Purpose:

As Assistant Manager the person will be responsible for supporting the Branch Manager in the management of the branch and in his absence. The person will be responsible for ensuring that the team achieve service, sales and quality targets etc in a customer-focused environment whilst ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to including Health & Safety Etc.

Ourideal candidate will be a leader with a strong business mindset and have Motor Industry experience. You should also beproficient in organizing and solving problems. Interpersonal and mediation skills will be very useful, since you’ll often be acting as a point of contact betweenmanager, employees and customers. The goal is to secure the effective operation of our business and the satisfaction of our clients.
