Job summary

Modern Tyres (Retail) Limited is seeking a Branch Manager in Ireland to oversee a busy retail/tyre service operation. You will drive financial targets, staff management, stock control and customer service excellence within the branch, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Lead planning and budgeting, optimise costs, develop relationships with customers, and report weekly results to regional management.

Qualifications

• Motor industry knowledge and mechanical background are essential.

• Proven track record in achieving financial targets and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Modern Tyres are experts in automotive parts repair including tyres, brakes, exhausts and much more, as well as offering a robust car servicing.

With over 74 branches across the Isle of Ireland, we are a Modern Tyres Company. We have retail outlets that specialise in just Tyres and/or Car Service & Tyres.

Modern Tyres are also leading the way in the service, maintenance, a wide variety range of tyres to suit our customers' needs and experts in tyre replacement for EV and Hybrid cars.

We have comprehensive training, including a fully equipped training facility to enhance careers within the motor industry offering recognised certificates upon completion.

Job Purpose:

The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall management of the branch and the achievement of all financial targets

within his/her branch.

Key Tasks Required:

Operational Management

• O Planning, organising, staffing, directing and controlling of all branch staff
• O Maximise the branch's potential by ensuring all branch and financial targets are met
• O Ensure that all branch staff fully adhere to correct procedures in relation tasks and stock management
• O Maintain all costs within targeted figures
• O Regularly review all costs and look for opportunities to reduce
• O Ensure all stock is maintained and regularly audited

Staff Management

• O Identify recruitment needs within budget and process with support from Human Resources Department
• O Conduct annual employee appraisals for all branch staff and provide regular feedback to all staff on their performance
• O Coach and motivate branch staff to ensure they meet business demand and targets set
• O Develop and encourage positive working relationships within the branch and where issues arise resolve them, or if unable, escape to their Regional Manager

Business Development

• O Promote at every opportunity to existing and potential customers the range of services that we provide
• O Develop relationships with existing and potential customers to retain and grow branch business
• O Bring forward ideas/suggestions for new products or services that could generate additional revenue
• O Responsible for entire branch performance reporting weekly sales to area manager

Quality Management

• O Responsible of the housekeeping of the branch
• O Responsible for staff uniform compliance
• O To deliver excellent customer service at all times (phone/face to face)
• O Ensure good work practices are being followed in the branch, and all technical guidelines are being adhered to - following the policy of getting it right first time.

Health and Safety Management

• O Ensure full compliance by all floor staff with health and safety/environmental policies and procedures
• O Ensure full compliance by all floor staff with safety/environmental legislation.
• Promote and be a role model for safety in the Branch
• O Report all breaches of safety policies/procedures and legislation to the Branch Manager

Essential - you must have motor industry knowledge and have a mechanical background
