Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join the Finance team at Dykebar Hospital. You will support budgeting, reporting and governance across services, working with budget holders and senior managers to drive financial performance.

The role involves preparing monthly reports, forecasting, and providing financial analysis to inform decisions. Visa sponsorship may be considered where eligible, and a competitive NHS benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND, AAT qualification or equivalent experience in an accountancy or finance-related discipline.
• Knowledge of management accounting principles, financial reporting and budget management processes.
• Advanced IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial plans for a range of service areas.
• Produce monthly financial reports, analyse variances and provide advice to budget holders.
• Assist with forecasting financial performance and monitoring budgets against agreed targets.
• Prepare income reconciliations, monitor funding streams and support financial control processes.
• Provide financial information, costing exercises and analysis to support operational decision making.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of financial systems, processes and reporting tools.
• Deliver guidance and training to non-finance staff to promote effective financial management.
