Job summary

Auxilia Group Recruitment is recruiting for an Assistant Logistics Manager on behalf of our client, a well-established FMCG company in Cork. This permanent role reports to the Head of Logistics and focuses on leading a busy logistics team to ensure efficient receipt, storage and distribution of products.

You will oversee KPI reporting, drive performance improvements, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a logistics, transport, warehousing, or supply chain management role.
• Educational qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience managing and developing operational teams.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, transport management, inventory control, and customer service.
• Experience managing KPIs, budgets, productivity, and operational performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transport Management Systems (TMS), and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Logistics in managing the logistics department and deputise in their absence.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the logistics team.
• Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and employee development plans.
• Establish clear objectives, KPIs, and accountability measures across the team.
• Oversee daily logistics operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of products.
• Monitor transport performance, warehouse productivity, stock accuracy, and service levels.
• Develop and report on operational KPIs and service metrics.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
