Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of management experience in care of older persons within the last 6 years.
• Post-registration qualification in management, healthcare, or related field.
• Proven track record in clinical management within a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits and ensure timely follow-up on findings and action plans.
• Lead staff induction programmes and support ongoing training and development initiatives.
• Promote innovative practices in care delivery and patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and HIQA standards.
• Organise and facilitate regular communication meetings with clinical staff.
• Build relationships with external community agencies and support resident participation.
• Collaborate with Marketing to enhance the Home’s local profile.
• Coordinate Health & Safety policy to protect staff, residents, visitors.
• Coordinate fire training and maintain evacuation procedures.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Home.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programmes.
• Participate in recruitment, including interviewing and selection of staff.
• Conduct training needs analysis to support staff development.
• Provide cover for the Director of Nursing when required.
• Ensure clinical practices meet regulatory standards.

Requirements
