Job summary

Le Meas Executive Search is partnering with a Financial Services firm in Dublin to recruit a part-qualified accountant. The role supports the accounting team in financial reporting, tax preparation, regulatory and management reporting, with exposure to SPVs, aviation finance, CLOs, and CDOS.

Key responsibilities include posting journals, bank reconciliations, preparing annual financial statements under IFRS and local GAAP, assisting with monthly/quarterly management accounts, and tax returns.

Qualifications

• 2+ years accounting experience.
• Be intent to qualify as an accountant within 3 years of start date (fully compensated, with study / exam leave provided)

Responsibilities

• Preparation and posting of accounting journals, including accruals and prepayments.
• Bank reconciliations and posting of related journal entries to the general ledger.
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements under IFRS and local GAAP.
• Involvement in audit preparation and audit query resolution.
• Assist in monthly and quarterly management accounts for SPVs.
• Communicate with banks, auditors and third parties for audit confirmations.

The successful candidate will work as part of an experienced and expanding accounting team and support qualified accountants and controllers in financial reporting, tax preparation & regulatory and management reporting.

This a great opportunity for a part qualified accountant to be part of a huge expansion and gain diverse accounting experience across Aviation Finance, CLOs, CDOS and SPVs.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation and posting of accounting journals, including accruals and prepayments, for a variety of SPVs in accordance with deadlines.
• Completion of bank reconciliations and posting of related journal entries to the general ledger.
• Working closely with experienced accountants and assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements under IFRS and local GAAP.
• Active involvement in audit preparation and audit query resolution, working with qualified team members to ensure all reporting deadlines are met.
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of SPVs.
• Liaising with banks, auditors and other third parties to ensure audit confirmations are issued and received on a timely basis.
• Assisting in the preparation of corporation tax and VAT returns.
• Preparation and filing of statistical returns with the Central Bank of Ireland.
• Assisting in the preparation and submission of quarterly regulatory returns within applicable deadlines.

Experience required:

• 2 + years accounting experience and a good understanding of accounting - debits / credits, general ledger, journal entries
• Be intent to qualify as an accountant within 3 years of start date (fully compensated, with study / exam leave provided)
