We Do Group in Dublin is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support the month-end close and financial reporting. You will contribute to strong controls and drive finance transformation within a fast-growing business.

The ideal candidate has two years’ experience in a similar role, strong Excel skills, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude. An opportunity to develop technical and commercial finance skills awaits.

Qualifications

  • At least two years' experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role.
  • Strong experience supporting month-end activities, including journals and reconciliations.
  • Good understanding of P&L accounting and financial reporting.
  • Excellent Excel skills and confidence using finance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Prepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
  • Support intercompany reconciliations and month-end close activities.
  • Assist with the annual audit process.
  • Produce financial analysis and management reporting.
  • Contribute to process improvements and finance transformation initiatives.
  • Help maintain a strong financial control environment across the business.

We're partnering with a well-established, fast-growing business to recruit an ambitious Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic finance team based in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant or Accounts Technician who is looking to broaden their experience, work within a fast-paced environment and continue their professional development.

You’ll play a key role in supporting the month-end close, maintaining strong financial controls and contributing to the ongoing transformation of the finance function.

The Opportunity

Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities while partnering with colleagues across the business. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys getting involved, improving processes and taking ownership of their work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.

About You

You’ll ideally have:

  • At least two years' experience within an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role.
  • Strong experience supporting month-end activities, including journals, reconciliations and management accounts.
  • Good understanding of P&L accounting and financial reporting.
  • Excellent Excel skills and confidence using finance systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and a genuine desire to learn and develop.
