Job summary

Fingleton White & Co is looking for a motivated Asset Management Engineer for their CHP operations in Dublin. This position is ideal for early-career engineers eager to gain hands-on experience in an industrial energy environment.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years post-graduate experience in a relevant role.
  • Experience with power generation or mechanical systems is advantageous.
  • Full clean driving license required.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operation and performance monitoring of CHP assets.
  • Assist in managing plant performance reporting and operational documentation.
  • Design and implement process improvement projects.

Fingleton White is a company that has been built around power generation and energy. Our very first project was a hydroelectric power station. From this we have grown over the past 25 years within the energy industry developing, designing and operating power generation facilities which include gas turbines, gas engines, hydro, biomass and all associated balance of plant equipment.

We also offer design consultancy services in addition to asset management operations.

Fingleton White’s Asset Management Team operate across 10 power generation facilities in Ireland. For our clients, we offer an asset management service to ensure our clients power generation assets operate with best-in-class availability and performance. Position

The Role….

Asset Management Engineer (CHP Operations) - REF: 2625

We are seeking a motivated and technically capable Asset Management Engineer to join a high-performing CHP (Combined Heat & Power) plant supporting a major brewing operation in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands‑on exposure to live industrial energy operations while developing technical, operational, and project management experience in a highly regulated environment.

The successful candidate will work directly with the Site Manager and play a key role in plant operations, asset performance monitoring, contractor coordination, and continuous improvement projects across the CHP facility.

An example of some of the responsibilities for the role are:

  • Support the day‑to‑day operation and performance monitoring of CHP assets
  • Assist in managing plant performance reporting, KPIs, and operational documentation
  • Preparation & implementation of planned operations & maintenance schedules
  • Assist with troubleshooting plant and process issues across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Coordinate and supervise specialist vendors and contractors on site activities
  • Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) procedures and permit to work systems
  • Design and implementation of process improvement projects
  • Working knowledge of plant systems including turbines, boilers, pumps, valves, controls and SCADA systems.

The location for this role will be in Dublin 8.

Requirements

The Candidate….

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Engineering degree (Honours bachelor's degree or higher) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
  • Experience of power generation, boilers, rotating equipment, or PLC/SCADA systems would be an advantage
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Be committed to working to the highest possible standards within a highly regulated EHS environment
  • 1 -3 years post‑graduate experience
  • Full Clean Driving License
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
  • Experience managing and communicating with contractors, OEM and clients.
