A leading engineering company is seeking a Senior Asset Management Engineer to manage operations at a power generation plant in Dublin. Candidates should have an engineering degree, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong interpersonal and computer skills. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience.

Fingleton White provide multidiscipline engineering services for the energy industry. We provide a full range of design, construction, commissioning and asset management services and are active across many sectors including Renewables, Gas Networks, Water, Energy & Utilities, and Asset Management. The company is responsible for planning and development of some of the most significant projects in the energy sector in Ireland. Our asset management team operate across 14 client locations.

Fingleton White is a company that has been built around power generation and energy. Our very first project was a hydroelectric power station. From this we have grown over the past 25 years within the energy industry developing, designing and operating power generation facilities which include gas turbines, Gas engines, Hydro, biomass and all associated balance of plant equipment. We also offer design consultancy services in addition to asset management operations.

Fingleton White’s Asset Management Team operate across 10 Power generation facilities in Ireland. For our clients, we offer an asset management service to ensure our clients power generation assets operate with best-in-class availability and performance. We challenge ourselves constantly to improve our operation and maintenance regimes while also developing continuous improvements projects fully inhouse to implement latest technology and standards.

Position:

The Role

Senior Asset Management Engineer – REF 2611

An example of some of the responsibilities for the role are:

  • Management of a power generation plant (Peaking plant, standby power &/or CHP)
  • Implementation of and compliance with environmental, health and safety programs
  • Preparation & implementation of planned operations & maintenance schedules
  • Operations performance monitoring, analysis and reporting
  • Contractor management
  • Design and implementation of process improvement projects
  • Attending client and OEM meetings

The location for this role will be in Dublin 8, there will be a requirement to travel to other sites as required.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Engineering degree (Honours bachelors degree or higher) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
  • Experience of power generation, boilers, rotating equipment, or PLC/SCADA systems would be an advantage
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Be committed to working to the highest possible standards within a highly regulated EHS environment
  • Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience
  • Full Clean Driving License
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
  • Experience managing and communicating with contractors, OEM and clients
