Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Student Quality Engineer to assist in developing quality plans and procedures, support batch releases, and help drive continuous quality improvements. The role emphasizes GMP compliance, metrology support, and collaboration with automation and moulding teams to resolve issues.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an honours degree in engineering or related fields with strong IT, communication and teamwork skills, and a willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Be pursuing an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Physics, Electronic, Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Strong IT, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work on own and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of quality plans and procedures using statistical methods.
• Support release of assembly batches including offline testing and paperwork.
• Update and create work instructions as required.
• Support validation and metrology activities.
• Drive process changes to minimise errors in paperwork and testing.
• Coordinate with team leader, QA operators and line staff to ensure batch release steps are defined and followed.
• Act as point of contact for quality issues between automation and moulding.
• Log, track and resolve issues; drive to resolution.
• Identify opportunities to improve product quality through process changes.
• Support GMP and safety programs; ensure documentation and training compliance.
