Job summary

Medica Diagnostics Ireland is seeking a Candidate Advanced Practice Radiographer in Sonography to support development of an advanced practice model across non-obstetric ultrasound. The role includes a structured candidacy pathway over up to three years, developing clinical practice, leadership, education and research skills within a governed framework.

Qualifications

• Be registered, or eligible for registration, on CORU Radiographers Register.
• Minimum six years’ post-qualification clinical experience (full-time or equivalent).
• Minimum three years’ ultrasound experience.
• Hold a QQI Level 9 qualification in ultrasound.
• Commitment to four pillars of advanced practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality ultrasound examinations per Medica protocols.
• Develop advanced clinical reasoning, imaging interpretation and reporting under supervision.
• Take clinical histories and adapt examinations based on referrals.
• Escalate urgent findings per protocol.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Contribute to governance, education, and service improvement.
