Job summary

NIRAS Ireland is recruiting a Process Project Engineer to join our client’s engineering team in Westport, Mayo. You will manage a portfolio of processing equipment projects from cradle to grave, coordinating cross‑functional teams across operations, EHS and quality.

The role requires a third‑level engineering qualification and 2–5 years in pharma/biotech, with proven project management, supplier selection, and commissioning experience.

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in an Engineering or equivalent discipline/experience.
• 2–5 years’ experience in Biologics, Pharmaceuticals or Medical device industry.
• Proven project management experience.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional project teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams for the delivery of Processing Equipment to the site based on planned timelines and scope.
• Write User Requirement Specifications and conduct vendor evaluations.
• Oversee installation, commissioning and qualification activities.
• Manage project budgets and schedules; participate in design review meetings.
• Ensure compliance with ASME BPE 2019 and ISPE guidelines.
