Job description
Overview

Are you a B2B sales manager with an eye for good design? Would you enjoy cross-selling stylish bathroom products to a large, established customer base in the West of Ireland? This is a varied, enjoyable role, with an attractive package for an accomplished salesperson wanting more than just the sale. You can play a crucial part in the development of the product portfolio.

About the company

Uppercross Enterprises Limited (UEL) is a successful, family-run business supplying high-quality plumbing fittings and heating products. They also own the hugely successful Niko Bathrooms brand. This is a B2B supplier of quality bathroom products to a comprehensive Irish network of bathroom showrooms, DIY stores, plumbing/heating wholesalers and builders’ merchants. They also have their own beautiful showroom in Tallaght, which highlights 50 bathroom settings.

Niko Bathroom’s diverse range of products is sourced from leading international manufacturers and produced to the highest standards. The collection of contemporary and traditional designs includes an extensive range of stylish bathroom furniture, refined ceramics and taps, and durable shower enclosures and accessories. The brand has grown immensely in the past decade to become one of the leading distributors in Ireland and is highly regarded in the bathroom and plumbing industry.

About the job

Reporting to the NIKO retail sales director, you’ll work with a range of established customers from Donegal to Clare, to increase their sales of NIKO Bathrooms product portfolio which also includes Geberit. UEL will be particularly interested if you have worked with bathroom products before. However, any sales experience with the building trade or interior design showrooms would also be advantageous.

To do well in this role, you’ll need to have an eye for design and trends so you can get behind the showroom displays. You’ll also need to be IT savvy so you can quickly get a grasp of the UEL internal tech systems and ensure data is updated promptly and correctly.

What you’ll get in return

While there is an expectation to generate some new customers, the largest challenge will be to have more of their NIKO products “put in danger of being sold“ by convincing existing retailers to display more product In Store. Relationship management with store staff, knowing how to cross-sell and working with the marketing team is also a key requirement. UEL has increased its marketing activity with NIKO and expects even more of an increase in brand awareness and new sales opportunities when coupled with the ongoing demand for residential builds and renovations. The great thing about this NIKO ASM job is that you’ll have plenty of autonomy and variety in order to meet your sale and margin objectives.

UEL provides a warm, informal, welcoming environment. You’ll find a lot of support from the rest of the sales team. For example, the ASMs who primarily work in the plumbing division will pass on leads and vice versa. But this is more than a pure sales job, you’ll be encouraged to work with the procurement team on developing the range of collections. Hence why they need someone with a natural eye for bathrooms trends.

UEL also provide a generous salary with a yearly bonus for hitting targets. Your vehicle will be a top of the range Skoda Superb or equivalent, and they’ll supply you with a modern laptop and phone. UEL also offer a company contribution pension of 10% after completion of one years’ service and a generous death in service life cover at no cost to the employee.

So, if you’d like to sell quality, competitive products to plenty of bathroom retailers and have a significant say in the look and feel of the range, apply here.
