Apprentice Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitter
We are seeking candidates who wish to serve a full four-year Solas Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitter Apprenticeship. This opportunity is available at our site in Clonee, Co. Meath.
Responsibilities:
Plant and Machinery Installation: Setting up new machinery and ensuring it is correctly installed and operational.
Maintenance and Repair: Regularly servicing equipment to prevent breakdowns and repairing any faults that occur
Replacement of Worn Parts: Identifying and replacing parts that are worn out or broken to ensure machinery runs smoothly
Adjustment and Servicing: Fine-tuning machinery to improve performance and conducting routine services
Fabrication of Replacement Parts: Using machine tools like lathes, milling machines, and grinders to create replacement parts
Working with drilling and milling machines and welding plants
Knowledge of CNC (Computer Numerical Control)
Interpreting technical drawings and diagrams
Condition monitoring using modern maintenance techniques
Report writing of completed repairs
Skills Required:
Minimum of 5 passes in Junior Certificate/3 passes in Leaving Certificate
Effective written & verbal communication skills
