About the Role
We are seeking a proactive Supply Chain Applications Specialist to join our global logistics and supply chain centre in Dublin. This role combines immediate hands‑on functional application support with a clear pathway to lead critical IT and supply chain digitalization projects. Working closely with global Supply Chain and IT teams, you will play a key role in supporting daily business operations, optimizing system workflows, and ensuring the end‑to‑end reliability and scalability of our IT landscape. While the primary focus will initially center on supporting our core ERP system (specifically Sales & Distribution), you will progressively expand your scope to cover broader applications, warehouse platforms, and continuous system enhancements down the line.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Support & Maintenance: Provide daily functional, reporting, and operational support to system users, addressing application issues and ensuring seamless supply chain operations.
- SAP SD Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert for the Sales & Distribution (SD) module, assisting with configuration, order‑to‑cash workflows, and user support.
- Testing & Handovers: Organize and perform end‑to‑end user testing sessions, validate new system functionality, and guarantee smooth post‑go‑live support and handovers.
- User Training & Documentation: Prepare clear user documentation (manuals, process guides, requirements, test cases) and coordinate training for key business users.
- Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and implement strategic IT and supply chain projects on time, within budget, and to defined quality standards.
- Cross‑System Integration: Oversee system change requests and digital transformation initiatives, collaborating with internal IT units, external consultants, and regional supply chain teams.
- Process Improvement: Identify system bottlenecks and suggest software improvements to streamline daily operations across warehousing and distribution.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP logistics modules, with a specific, strong focus on SAP SD (Sales & Distribution).
- Warehouse Systems (Bonus): Direct experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS/EWM) or warehouse automation/integration projects is highly desirable.
- Project Management: Demonstrated background coordinating or managing IT/system implementation projects, preferably within international or multi‑site environments.
- Education: University degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Technical Integration: Basic understanding of middleware platforms, APIs, or system integration concepts.
- Supply Chain Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of core supply chain processes (order‑to‑cash, distribution, replenishment, and demand planning).
Practical Requirements & Soft Skills
- Location & Mobility: Ability to split work locations between the Dublin 1 city centre office and a primary warehouse facility near Dublin Airport. A full driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle are strongly preferred due to location access.
- Notice Period: Availability to start quickly (short notice period preferred).
- Problem‑Solving & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and everyday business users.
- Proactivity: Self‑driven with a continuous improvement mindset and high operational accuracy.
- Work Authorisation: Must hold existing, unrestricted full right to work in Ireland without sponsorship (EU Citizen, Stamp 4, or Stamp 1G Spousal ONLY).
- Stamp 1G Graduate, Stamp 2 Student, and Stamp 1 Critical Skills Transfer candidates will NOT be considered.
- Mobility & Travel: Must possess a Full Clean Driving Licence and daily access to a personal car for multi‑site warehouse and office presence.
