Job summary

Stryker Ireland in Cork is seeking a Software/Systems Engineer for a 23-month fixed-term contract in a hybrid role based in Carrigtwohill. You will translate user needs into system requirements and act as a liaison between development teams and end users to deliver robust solutions.

Responsibilities include leading concept phases, overseeing system integration testing, and contributing to risk management, while mentoring others in design and testing strategies in a cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Biomedical Engineering or similar; 4+ years of work experience.
  • Strong ability to develop and optimize system requirements, designs, and verification; familiarity with design processes and testing strategies.

Responsibilities

Job description

23 month Fixed Term Contract hybrid role based in Carrigtwohill, Cork

What you will do:
  • build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • act as a liaison between development teams and end users
Technical Responsibilities:
  • Translate user needs to system requirements
  • Modify existing system architectures or test designs
  • Create new system architectures or test designs for simple product or features
  • Translate system requirements into digital requirement fr software development teams.
  • Lead Concept Phase activities for a feature
  • Analyze and contribute to complex product design issues using independent judgment
  • Lead system integration testing and verification activities
  • Contribute to Product Risk Management activities
Business Responsibilities:
  • Advance solutions by applying in-depth knowledge of customer needs, market, and competitive offerings
  • Support Voice of Customer sessions internally
  • Demonstrate developing financial acumen
  • Be proficient with and mentor others in usage of industry standards, including design requirements and test strategies
General Responsibilities:
  • Work cooperatively with all stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Identify and support the creation of or improvements to procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology
  • Support and execute segments of complex multi-functional teams to advance projects through the design /development/launch process
  • Deliver high quality results with passion, energy, and drive to meet business priorities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build partnership to achieve business objectives
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
  • Bachelor of Science in Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Biomedical Engineering or similar & 4+ years of work experience
Preferred Qualifications (Strongly desired):
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical ability to develop and optimize system requirements, designs, and verification Working knowledge of Requirements Management Tools and System Modeling Tools Ability to communicate moderate complexity plans and technical information to team members

Ireland Pay Ranges: Ireland: €54,000 - €90,000 EUR Annual
