European Tech Recruit are partnering with a multinational semiconductor company in Cork to hire an Android Engineer for the Sensors team. You will design, develop, and test Android apps for sensor data collection and demonstrations.

The role includes building desktop tools for Windows/Linux that interact with Android devices, supporting data workflows and demonstrations, and collaborating with global teams to deliver production-grade software across devices and platforms.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of experience developing Android applications using the Android SDK.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills in Java or Kotlin.
• Proficiency in developing system-level applications and tools in C++ and Python for internal and customer use.
• Fluency with Git and GitHub.
• Ability to develop customer-facing demo and test applications.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and test Android applications for sensor data collection and demonstrations.
• Design, implement, and test cross-platform desktop tools with GUI interacting with Android devices.
• Develop Java-based software components following standard design patterns and deployment models.
• Work across prototype and reference platforms including mobile, wearables, and Wear OS.
• Collaborate with global teams to support sensor algorithms and features.
• Contribute to end-to-end data processing pipelines and optimize data workflows.
• Support field data collection activities and resolve issues with apps on employees' devices.
• Support sensor feature commercialization through data analysis and customer triage.
