Job summary

Irish Distillers Limited, based at the Midleton site in Cork, is seeking an Analytical Chemist to ensure product quality through rigorous finished bottle analysis. The role provides analytical support to manufacturing, central labs and production teams, reporting to the Head of Analytical and Technical Development.

The candidate will calibrate equipment, maintain records, contribute to method development, and support continuous improvement within a quality-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in analytical chemistry, preferably in manufacturing or laboratory environment.
• Good understanding of ISO quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and analysis of finished bottle products and other samples according to procedures and ISO standards.
• Calibrate and perform daily checks of laboratory equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of all tests and update laboratory procedures as needed.
• Support method development, validation and troubleshooting in collaboration with senior staff.
• Log samples and enter results into the LIMS system; investigate non-conformances.
