Analytical Scientist – Laboratory-Based Role | Animal Nutrition Industry | Southeast Ireland

Are you passionate about analytical science? A well-established company is seeking an Analytical Scientist to join their growing laboratory team based in Southeast Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analytical testing of raw materials, premixes, supplements, and finished feed products in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Carry out daily calibration, maintenance, and performance checks on laboratory equipment.
  • Support the development, validation, and troubleshooting of analytical methods.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records in line with GLP standards.
  • Analyze, interpret, and communicate laboratory data and results clearly.
  • Assist in the creation and continuous improvement of laboratory documentation and SOPs.
  • Contribute to ongoing research and development projects within the lab.
  • Support the implementation and development of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Provide assistance in regulatory affairs, particularly concerning controlled substances.
  • Recommend process and system improvements to enhance lab efficiency and accuracy.

What You’ll Need:

  • BSc or MSc in Analytical Chemistry, Forensic Science, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Practical laboratory experience in a relevant analytical or quality control setting is desirable.
  • Willingness and ability to gain hands-on experience with Mass Spectrometry and LCMS systems.
  • Strong foundation in analytical techniques, particularly NIR and wet chemistry methods.
  • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented mindset.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
