Job summary

Aptiv in Dublin seeks an AI Solution Architect to design enterprise AI solutions, focusing on AI agents and agentic workflows. You will create reusable design standards, reference patterns, templates and test frameworks for scalable, secure delivery.

You will partner with stakeholders and delivery teams to translate use cases into high-quality designs aligned with governance and platform standards, while driving reuse and adoption of enterprise AI platforms.

AI Solution Architect

The AI Solution Architect is responsible for the architecture and design of enterprise AI solutions, with a primary focus on AI agents and agentic workflows that support Aptiv business priorities. This role defines and maintains reusable design standards, reference patterns, templates and test frameworks to enable scalable, secure and efficient delivery across the enterprise. The position partners with business stakeholders and technical delivery teams to translate approved use cases into high-quality solution designs that are aligned with enterprise architecture, platform standards and governance requirements. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Analytics and AI Architecture, this role works in close collaboration with platform architects, solution architects, cyber security architects, enterprise architects, DevOps engineers and business requestors, the AI Solution Architect develops both high-level and low-level designs that maximise reuse, improve delivery efficiency and reduce unnecessary proliferation of agents and tooling. The role also assesses emerging platforms, models and tools to inform Aptiv’s enterprise AI development approach and ensure solutions are built on the most appropriate, supportable and scalable capabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable, secure, and business-focused AI agent solutions and intelligent workflows.
• Develop architecture standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices for AI assistants, agents, and automation solutions.
• Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to define requirements, identify opportunities, and translate ideas into practical AI solutions.
• Establish testing, evaluation, and governance frameworks to ensure AI solutions are reliable, safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and security teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, data, integration, and compliance standards.
• Drive reuse, simplification, and adoption of enterprise AI platforms, reducing duplication and promoting standardized approaches.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, platforms, and architectural patterns to support innovation and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the evolution of Aptiv’s enterprise AI strategy, architecture standards, and delivery capabilities.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• Strong solution, application or enterprise architecture experience in complex global environments.
• Hands‑on experience designing AI, automation, integration or workflow solutions on enterprise cloud platforms.
• Experience with generative AI, AI agents, copilots, RAG and workflow orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of high- and low-level design, architecture documentation and design assurance.
• Experience testing and evaluating AI or software solutions, including non‑functional quality.
• Experience taking solutions from concept to delivery across business and technical teams.
• Understanding of enterprise integration, security, identity, data, support and reuse principles.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry and related cloud and security capabilities.
• Ability to balance speed, maintainability, cost, risk, control and business value.
• Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
• AI‑ready data engineering for AI/ML pipelines, feature stores and vector databases.
• Advanced conceptual, logical, physical and semantic data modelling.
• Design of automated, scalable and resilient batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Management of data lifecycles and storage tiers across lakes and warehouses.
• Data quality, privacy, lineage and secure governance for compliant AI solutions.

Preferred Experience

• Microsoft certifications in Azure, Copilot, Power Platform or solution architecture.
• Enterprise AI governance, architecture review boards, privacy and cyber security review processes.
• Solutions that integrate with platforms such as ServiceNow, SAP, Salesforce or similar enterprise applications.
• AI evaluation disciplines such as prompt testing, safety testing, hallucination reduction, grounding design and operational monitoring.
• DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD and release management practices for AI or software delivery.
• Regulated, global or matrixed organisations with strong governance and control expectations.
• Emerging standards, protocols and patterns relevant to enterprise agentic AI, including reusable tool integration and multi‑agent orchestration approaches.
