Job summary

Aptiv seeks an AI Platform Manager to oversee enterprise AI platform operations, governance, and cost optimisation across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud environments.

You will drive incident response, release coordination, and environment controls while partnering with AI Product Managers, Engineers, Data Scientists, and security teams to balance stability with rapid innovation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing enterprise technology platforms or shared services.
• Strong governance, incident management, release coordination, change control, and service performance skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and ITSM, service assurance, and operational reporting.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern the AI platform operating model, including health, lifecycle, vendor engagement, and governance alignment.
• Ensure platforms comply with security, risk, compliance, and governance standards.
• Lead incident, service requests, escalation, and performance management per IT SLAs.

AI Platform Manager Role Summary

The AI Platform Manager ensures the enterprise AI platform ecosystem operates reliably, securely, efficiently, and in line with governance standards. The role oversees platform operations, service performance, incident and request management, release coordination, environment controls, and cost optimisation for AI solutions deployed across the organisation.

Working with AI Product Managers, AI Engineers, Data Scientists, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Finance, suppliers, and business stakeholders, the role balances strong operational control with the need to support rapid innovation and business value delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Define and govern the AI platform operating model, including platform health, lifecycle management, vendor engagement, roadmap governance, and alignment with architects and business stakeholders.
• Ensure AI platforms and services comply with enterprise technology, security, risk, compliance, and AI governance standards.
• Lead incident, service request, escalation, and service performance management processes in line with IT SLAs and reporting requirements.
• Establish and manage release, change, and deployment processes, including production readiness, approvals, communications, and post-release validation.
• Drive release automation through GitHub and ensure accurate operational records, CMDB updates, and governance within ServiceNow.
• Define and manage environment strategies across development, testing, staging, and production environments spanning Microsoft and Google AI platforms.
• Oversee platform consumption, costs, budgets, forecasting, and AI FinOps practices, ensuring transparency, optimization, and accurate cost allocation.
• Deliver operational reporting, dashboards, continuous service improvement, root cause analysis, and operational maturity initiatives across the AI platform ecosystem.

Required experience

• Extensive experience managing enterprise technology platforms, digital products, or shared services.
• Strong experience in operational governance, incident management, service requests, release coordination, change control, and service performance management.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, and with ITSM, service assurance, and operational reporting practices.
• Experience managing technology costs, budgets, forecasting, or FinOps practices.
• Proven ability to work effectively across technical teams, business stakeholders, suppliers, and leadership forums.

Desired Experience

• Experience supporting AI, analytics, data, or digital transformation platforms.
• Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI, and emerging regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Power Platform, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience in a product-centric delivery model and certifications in ITIL, FinOps, Azure, AWS, or related disciplines.
