Job summary

Penguin Solutions in Dublin, Ireland, is seeking a Debug Technician to diagnose and repair hardware and software issues in our electronics. You will work from test procedures, schematics, and diagnostics to identify root causes and implement fixes.

The role requires Linux experience, MRB familiarity, and strong problem-solving. You will support manufacturing tests and collaborate with engineering on new tools and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Linux OS and debugging processes.
  • Familiar with MRB process and Failure Mode Effects Analysis.
  • Ability to read and use assembly documentation such as schematics/BOMs.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Control, document and process all non-conforming material.
  • Set-up and operate test equipment per standard procedures.
  • Provide technical support in manufacturing for functional test.
  • Participate in development of new product procedures.
  • Assist engineering with new test tools and support.
  • Follow ISO and job-specific procedures.
  • Participate in quality and client meetings as required.
  • Ensure quality of work-in-process.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area.
  • May train other employees.
  • Support other tasks as needed.
