Job summary

Gen AI Engineer – multiple levels in Dublin City Centre. This permanent hybrid role focuses on building real-world AI solutions, solving technical challenges and advancing your career within a leading Dublin consultancy.

You will develop Generative AI and LLM applications, implement RAG solutions, work with Python and cloud platforms, and communicate complex concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development experience and practical delivery of Generative AI or AI solutions.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, vector databases or embeddings.
• Familiar with AI agents and agentic workflows and cloud platforms.
• Experience integrating APIs and data systems; understanding production deployment.

This is a permanent hybrid opportunity to work on hands-on projects, solve technical challenges and build real-world AI solutions while progressing your career.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver Generative AI and LLM applications.
• Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions.
• Design and implement AI agents and agentic workflows.
• Use Python and modern AI and machine learning frameworks.
• Integrate APIs, cloud platforms and data systems.
• Evaluate, optimise and deploy LLM solutions in production.
• Work directly with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate technical solutions.
• Present technical concepts and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Produce clear, accurate and well-structured technical documentation.
• Contribute to varied client projects and help deliver practical AI outcomes.

Your Experience

• Previous experience in a consultancy, client-facing or business-facing environment.
• Practical experience building and delivering Generative AI or AI solutions.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Experience working with LLMs, RAG, vector databases or embeddings.
• Familiarity with AI agents and agentic workflows.
• Experience using cloud platforms, APIs and data systems.
• Understanding of LLM evaluation and production deployment.
• Excellent English communication skills across writing, speaking and presenting.
• The ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and adapt communication to different audiences.
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation, proposals and project updates.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• A hands-on approach and an interest in building real-world solutions.
