Job summary

AMCS Group in Limerick is offering an onsite software engineering internship starting January 4th, 2027. You will write code in a modern .NET stack, contribute to production features, and learn to ship software in a professional environment with AI tooling as a core multiplier.

You will work in a pod, review code, and build real software while gaining hands‑on experience with AI-assisted development and cloud‑based workflows.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C# or a comparable statically typed language.
• Understanding of object‑oriented design principles.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and HTTP fundamentals.
• Exposure to SQL and relational databases.
• Comfortable using Git for source control.
• Genuine curiosity about AI‑led development and eagerness to learn tooling.
• Ability to read and understand unfamiliar code independently.
• Direct communicator who asks questions early to avoid blocks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features in C# and ASP.NET Core across web and backend services.
• Write unit and integration tests as standard practice.
• Use Claude Code and AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate coding and debugging.
• Participate in pull request reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Work within a Kanban delivery model in a small engineering pod.
• Engage with MCP‑based tooling and internal developer platform capabilities.
• Contribute to technical documentation where relevant.
