Job summary

Novartis in Dublin is seeking a senior professional to co-lead AI and automation adoption within the Advanced Quantitative Sciences Technology & AI function. You will translate business needs into technical requirements, collaborate with engineering and platform teams, and drive scalable, compliant changes in clinical data workflows.

Role emphasizes change leadership, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on prototyping to accelerate adoption from pilot to standard practice while staying aligned

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Biostatistics or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years leading technology-enabled change in life sciences or regulated industry.
• Proven AI/automation or digital solution adoption with measurable business impact.
• Knowledge of clinical data flows (SDTM/ADaM) and statistical programming.
• Solid foundation in reading/writing R and/or Python; understands software engineering practices (CI/CD, testing).
• Excellent stakeholder management in a matrix environment; able to influence senior leadership.
• Fluent English, strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/automation adoption roadmap across production environments.
• Translate needs into requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria with cross-functional teams.
• Manage stakeholders and align sponsors in a matrix organisation.
• Redesign QC and review workflows to integrate AI-driven processes.
• Design change plans including communications, training, and champion networks.
• Ensure change is compliant, audit-ready and aligned with GxP/CSV.
• Prototype and review code to accelerate decision-making and adoption.
• Stay current with AI industry best practices and external knowledge.
