Job summary

IT Search is hiring a Senior AI Python Engineer to design, build and deploy production AI systems for a global financial leader. The role focuses on Agentic AI workflows, LLM integration and secure enterprise-scale implementations in Dublin with a hybrid onsite schedule.

You will work on cutting-edge AI capabilities, integrating OpenAI/Anthropic/open-source models, building vector search with Pinecone/Weaviate/FAISS, and deploying services on AWS using ECS, Lambda and S3.

Senior AI Python Engineer (Agentic AI & LLM) – 6 Month Rolling Contract (Long Term Rolling)

Location: Dublin (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)

Contract Type: Rolling 6-month contract (large project with long-term requirements)

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join a newly expanded team at a global financial leader, focused on enterprise AI data management. This is a hands-on role where you will design, build, and deploy production AI systems that will be used by millions of customers.

You will work on cutting-edge AI capabilities including Agentic AI workflows, LLM integration, and RAG pipelines – all within a secure, regulated, enterprise-scale environment.

What You'll Do

• Design and build production RAG pipelines for enterprise document retrieval and knowledge management
• Develop Agentic AI workflows using LangGraph or similar frameworks
• Integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models) into backend services using FastAPI or Django
• Build and optimise vector search solutions using Pinecone, Weaviate, or similar
• Work with Python, SQLAlchemy, and PostgreSQL to manage structured and unstructured data
• Deploy and scale AI services on AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, etc.)
• Collaborate with data engineers, platform teams, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise-grade AI solutions

What We're Looking For

• Strong commercial experience with Python and modern AI/LLM frameworks
• Hands-on experience building RAG pipelines (retrieval, chunking, embedding, generation)
• Experience with Agentic AI and frameworks like LangGraph, LangChain, or AutoGen
• Understanding of vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, or similar)
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and containerisation (Docker)
• Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments is a strong plus
