Job summary

Kids Inc. in Carbury NS, Ireland, is hiring an Afterschool Childcare Assistant for the 2026/2027 term-time. This part-time role offers €15.75 per hour with a guaranteed minimum of 10 hours weekly and additional hours typically 20–25 per week.

You will help children settle after school, assist with homework, and lead a range of activities in a safe, supportive environment. Join a nationwide childcare provider with over 25 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Willingness to complete Garda Vetting and reference checks.
• Full driving licence is an advantage but not essential.
• Positive, reliable and enthusiastic attitude.

About The Role

Our Afterschool programme provides a safe, welcoming, and engaging home-from-home environment where children can relax, complete their homework, and take part in a wide range of fun and enriching activities at the end of the school day.

As an Afterschool Childcare Assistant, you'll play an important role in creating positive experiences for children and supporting their development through play, creativity, learning, and social interaction.

What You'll Be Doing

• Helping children settle after school and supporting a positive transition into the afternoon programme
