Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

This is a work experience and training programme. No experience necessary, a genuine interest in working with children, flexibility and a good level of English is desirable.

Duties will include:

  • Working as part of a team in the provision of an afterschool service for 4-12 years olds.
  • Assist with school collection, care of children and planning of programmes for homework and age appropriate activities.
  • Follow the policies & procedures of the service at all times.
  • Communicate effectively and maintain high standards of confidentiality.
