Job summary

MSR-FSR LLC in Ireland is seeking a Grade 2 Maintenance Technician to independently perform preventative and corrective maintenance on vacuum pumps, gas abatement systems and related line heater equipment. The role emphasizes practical troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and safe working practices.

You will interpret drawings, maintain documentation, support junior technicians, and work a rotating 12-hour continental shift pattern days/nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• NFQ Level 6 qualification in a relevant technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Maintenance Engineering).
• Minimum 5 years' relevant equipment maintenance experience.
• Experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Proven ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical or equipment control faults.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise maintenance activities.
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and environmental compliance.
• Experience using maintenance documentation and CMMS.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work a rotating 12-hour continental shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform preventative and corrective maintenance on vacuum pumps, pump racks, gas abatement systems and line heater systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and control faults using troubleshooting techniques.
• Repair equipment, replace components and test to return to operation.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, manuals and procedures.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to fault analysis and corrective actions.
• Support reliability and performance improvement initiatives to reduce downtime.
• Ensure maintenance complies with EH&S regulations and approved procedures.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and equipment histories in CMMS.
• Communicate status and requirements during shift handovers.
• Mentor Grade 1 Technicians and assist in updating maintenance documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and other teams to resolve issues.
• Support achievement of maintenance performance targets.
