Standard Life in Dublin (Hybrid) is seeking a Qualified Actuary to join the Actuarial Team on a permanent basis. You will contribute to Solvency II and IFRS/GAAP balance sheets, capital resources and QRTs, while developing actuarial analyses of financial results and related processes.

You will interact with senior stakeholders, deliver technical leadership, and provide informed actuarial advice aligned with business needs in a flexible, customer-focused retirement specialist environment.

Formación

• Qualified Actuary with 0-1 year post qualification experience.
• Solvency II & Actuarial modelling experience.
• Life insurance knowledge (unit-linked, annuities, with-profits).
• Experience presenting materials for senior forums/committees is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Calculate and review Solvency II and IFRS/GAAP balance sheets (actuarial elements).
• Analyse Solvency II capital resources and requirements and prepare related reports.
• Produce and review QRTs, SFCR, and RSR.
• Develop actuarial analyses of financial results and related processes.
• Contribute to group projects and strategic activities.
• Prepare papers for senior management and executives.
• Manage relationships with internal/external parties to deliver requirements.
• Provide commercial actuarial advice aligned with business needs.
• Communicate complex concepts to stakeholders and influence decisions.
• Balance business demand and risk with sound judgement in uncertain scenarios.
• Support development and testing of complex models and data analyses.

Key responsibilities-

• Calculation and review of Solvency II and IFRS/GAAP balance sheets (actuarial elements).

• Developing, building and improving actuarial analysis of financial results and related processes.
• Contributing to group-wide projects and strategic activities.
• Producing papers and reports for senior management and executives as required.
• Managing relationships with peers and internal/external parties to ensure successful delivery of requirements.
• Applying commercial understanding of the business to ensure financial, risk, business and actuarial advice is aligned with the business needs.
• Communicating complex concepts and recommendations to multiple stakeholders across the business and influencing decisions through sound analytical rationale.
• Balancing business demand, issues and risks by applying sound judgement in complex scenarios often with considerable uncertainty.
• Contributing to the specification, development and testing of complex propositions or numerical models, analysing a range of business data, and making recommendations to senior management to support decision making
• Providing technical leadership in key areas of expertise and representing the business area appropriately within cross divisional projects.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Qualified Actuary (0-1 year post qualification experience)
